Keelboat Racing on Lake Maumelle
The 2025–26 Keelboat Racing Schedule is now posted on the homepage under the Racing menu. This season includes 11 race days plus two major events: the Fall Regatta and the Spring Regatta, both two-day, multi-race weekends.
Since 1959, GMSC has been home to year-round sailing on Lake Maumelle, offering competitive racing in every season. Our keelboat program features professional race management, safe and exciting competition, and full facilities for racers—including docks, slips, storage, and a 5,000 lb. crane.
Keelboats span 20–30 feet and race under the PHRF handicap system, emphasizing sailing skill. Racing is organized into two fleets—A Fleet delivers intense competition for seasoned sailors, while B Fleet is just as competitive but tailored to smaller cruising-style boats. Together, the two fleets ensure there’s a place for sailors of all skill levels.
