Flying Scot District Championships: Racing Heats Up on Lake Maumelle

GMSC will host the Flying Scot Southwest District Championships at Lake Maumelle, May 23rd–24th, alongside the Memorial Day Regatta. We’re anticipating 12–15 boats, boosted by a strong Texas circuit that builds toward Districts each season. With the Flying Scot North Americans about 10 days later in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, some teams may race at GMSC and then continue on to the national stage. For our club, Districts puts Lake Maumelle in the spotlight as a fast, fair venue for one-design racing. Expect championship-level starts, tight mark-rounding battles, and a lively weekend on shore.
