Volunteering Opportunities

Job assignments will be made on the day of the event depending on the the number of volunteers available and experience level. New volunteers are welcome, training will be provided. •Recorder: Writes sail numbers/finish times. •Timer: Keeps time during starts, recording leg times and finish times if required. •Flags: Posts the race information before the start sequence, hoist start signal flags as required, and recall flags after the start if necessary. Also, track requirements of other timed flags (flags up or down, etc.) •RC Boat Crew: A person generally available to do various tasks on the boat, like help anchors the boat, assist if other boats come alongside (fenders, lines, etc.), move tow lines, inflate marks, etc.

A two-person team of a driver and assistant is assigned to set marks and assist racers as needed.

Backup Fleet RC volunteers are fleet members and crew assigned to work when non-racing volunteers fill only some of the required race committee job slots.
